  • HOW DO I KNOW WHAT METHOD IS BEST FOR ME?
Clients often ask what method is the least damaging for their hair? The truth is… It comes down to the user! My favorite method is the invisible beads for anyone who wants to add a lot of hair. Tape and individuals are great for extremely thin hair, details, and small areas to fill. The best thing is that these methods can be combined for best possible result! Before you decide what method to get, you should consider these things: Your desired result Your hair length, and density Your lifestyle What do you need your hair to do for you? (Are you going to wear it down? To be able to put it in a high ponytail? To fill out a certain area?) How often will you be able to go to a maintenance appointment? Do you work out a lot? If yes, what kind of workout do you do? Tape-in - Great for fine to medium hair, to add some color effects, or to fill out certain areas. - Move-ups should be done every 4-6 weeks. - I do not recommend tape-ins for people that are in contact with water a lot, gets sweaty easily, wants a lot of hair, use a lot of hot tools, put your hair up a lot, hair that easily gets tangled, or cannot commit to frequent maintenance appointments. Individuals - Great for fine to medium hair, to add some color effects, add hair to certain areas, if you want to put your hair up, if you work out a lot, often are in contact with water, or if you don't want to come in for frequent maintenance appointments. - Lasts for 12 - 16 weeks (or longer) depending on how well you take care of your extensions. - Not recommended for someone with thick and coarse hair that wants a LOT of hair, hair that easily gets tangled, or often use a lot of hot tools Sew in weft (invisible beads) - Great for medium to thick hair, to add a lot of volume, want a LOT longer/thicker hair, color effects, if you like to put your hair in a high ponytail, if you work out a lot, and if you like to use hot tools. - Move-up appointments are recommended every 5-7 weeks to maintain a healthy scalp. - Depending on how well you take care of your extensions and how often you come in for your move-ups, this method may last up to 6 months without having to remove the extensions. If you do not come in for your move-up appointments, the hair should be removed after no more than 12 weeks. - This method is not recommended for anyone with fine or fragile hair, likes to swim often, or likes to have a medium height ponytail. If you don’t consider these things before getting extensions, you may end up getting the wrong method for your needs and damage your own hair. The sew in (invisible bead method) can be done with 3 different types of hair wefts; machine weft, hand-tied weft, or genius weft. Machine wefts are great for someone with medium to thick hair that wants to add a lot of hair. Hand-tied wefts and genius wefts are great for someone with fine hair, or wants to add a little bit of volume or thickness. The biggest difference with hand-tied and genius wefts is that genius wefts don't have a mustache (return hair) at the top of the track. A "mustache" can cause some itchiness, tangles, and irritation if you have a sensitive scalp. On the other hand, the genius weft track is sealed with a type of silicone that can get damaged if you use a lot of hot tools close to the bond, which can lead to some hair extension shedding. As you can see - there is not a one fit for all when it comes to hair extensions! It is important to consider all of these aspects before choosing the right method for yourself. This is why I ask everyone to fill out a form when requesting an appointment. My goal is to ensure that all my clients are confident and comfortable with their extensions while causing minimal damage to their natural hair.

I require a non-refundable deposit to book an appointment. If it does turn out that an emergency or such an event does happen, I will work with you reasonably to reschedule your appointment to the earliest date thereafter that will work for both of us. It will be in my discretion to decide if the reason you provide makes me keeping the appointment impractical, or impossible.
